Fauteuils d’orchestre
Danièle Thompson :: France :: 2005 :: 1h46

Young girl moves to Paris and becomes a waitress sidelining the showbizz scene. Her steps take us along unlikely meetings with a nervous wreck mainstream actress (played brilliantly by Valérie Lemercier) who wants to play tougher roles, a gifted concert pianist who wants to play for the uninitiated and an art collector who’s selling his entire collection after his wife passed away. A light bourgeois comedy in boulevard theatre-style whose genuine sentiments are somewhat lost in the heavily fabricated scenario but saved by an excellent cast.
