David LaChapelle :: USA :: 2004 :: 1h24

Set in a Los Angeles ghetto, this documentary follows Tommy the Clown who reacts to the violence, drugs and poverty which surrounds them by dancing his way out. An African inspired dance gives them a direction in life which their society can not provide, the dance groups replacing gangs and broken homes and serves as an outlet to cooped up frustration. Go for the dancing, which is fast and amazing with a cinematically powerful soundtrack.
